How fast time flies....

It has been over a year since I wrote on this blog and many things have happened!  Briella has started kindergarten, Izaac started preschool and we have a wonderful new addition to the family Eliviana Grace born May 28th.

As this year comes to a close, I realize how grateful I am for everything God has given us.  The good and the bad each has brought forth blessings!  I have enclosed a picture of our family above and hopefully I can make it on the blog more often this coming year!  To all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Many Days of Rain in New England

I know I might not be in the same mind set as most of  "the crowd" here in New England, but after some much needed rest, I consider the last few rainy days to be perfect timing.  We have been cozying up together, playing games, reading, making some nice warm tea, enjoying soup,  having hearty meals by candlelight and today we even viewed one of my favorite movies, The Sound of Music. I've been enjoying myself and the children have as well.  It reminds me to be grateful... that God gives us everything we need in His perfect timing.....

As we are in the beginning stages of the Fall Season, I have grown to have an appreciation for everyday in its vast difference of another.  The leaves changing outside.... all the beautiful colors slowly painting a magnificent palette of God's abundant love for us.

In the stillness of it all,  during the rain, the sun slips behind the clouds and the days get shorter and shorter with the passing of time.  These are all subtle reminders that we need some rest after the perseverance of many seasons of our lives......

~~~May you enjoy your restfulness in the hands of our Creator and abide in His perfectness everyday~~~~
I want to leave you with a few Bible verses that are on my heart today
Perfect peace is from God
The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
(Psalm 29:11)
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you" (John 14:27).
Psalm 29:11
The LORD blesses his people with peace.
Further, this peace is not oblivious to the world, but is confident that God is completely in control of our circumstances.
 To be thankful in all circumstances
 James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above
 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
 God loves us so much and wants us to be thankful.
Psalm 107:1
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
 God gives us rest
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
 And finally, there is a time for everything in the perfectness of it all....
 Ecclesiastes
3: 1-15
A Time for Everything
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?
10 ¶ I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God.
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
